Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and we’ve completely redesigned the site to be your ultimate party planning resource. You can give and get advice from fellow partiers, use the forums to pose or answer questions, and interact with the rest of the community!

HOW CAN I GET ON TV?

Whoa there! We know everyone wants to see their face on the small screen, but one step at a time. We do occasionally feature the best profiles during episodes of My Super Sweet 16, but you have to make sure your profile is tops! Make sure everything is filled out and you’re interacting with the community and your chances of being a featured party greatly increase!

CAN I CREATE A PAGE FOR ANY PARTY, OR JUST SWEET 16?

This site is open to all people, regardless of age or any other factor; In fact, we encourage you to create a profile for any seminal event. Be it a welcome-home celebration or a 30th birthday bash, we want to see it. Almost anything you'd want to celebrate is welcome here!

WHAT IS THE MAP ROLLOVER FEATURE?

This handy-dandy little feature helps you pinpoint when and where parties are taking place….all over the country! It's updated regularly, so sign up and start repping your hometown! You’ll be able to see parties for both “partiers” and “experts”, so it’s easier than ever to find other users who can help you plan your party!

WHAT KIND OF PARTY VIDEOS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

The interesting kind, of course! Whether you're having problems planning, fighting with your friends, or savoring a successful celebration, we want to see it! And not just because we're nosey. The more drama you share, the more people will care!

HOW LONG CAN MY VIDEOS BE?

As long as you like, but keep in mind that short snippets are easier to watch than an overlong opus. As a rule of thumb, leave them wanting more.

HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I POST?

Post until your heart's content! But put your best foot forward; your "just woke up" face probably won't get you many page views!

COULD MY VIDEO EVER END UP ON TV?

You bet. If we find your video particularly intriguing we might just ask if it's ok to roll on-air. So keep your original tapes just in case the fame fairy comes knockin'!

HOW DO I EDIT MY PROFILE?

Once you've logged into you're account, click on "edit profile", and go to town. Please note that you cannot change your username, so choose wisely!

WHAT ARE ‘EXPERTS’ AND ‘PARTIERS?

In the interest of making it easier to connect with users that can help you plan your party, we have decided to define users as either ‘experts’ or ‘partiers’. It makes sense if you think about it…experts are users who have already had their parties and probably have a wealth of knowledge to offer. Partiers are users who have yet to have their party and might need some guidance and assistance. Partiers can select experts to help them plan their bash, and in return experts can volunteer to help partiers in need!

CAN I CHANGE MY USERNAME?

Sorry, but this is a no-can-do. Give it some thought before you jump in so you don't regret your decision later. The same advice goes for tattoos when you turn 18...trust us.

I'VE UPDATED MY PROFILE, BUT I DON'T SEE THE CHANGES!

Ok, ok…deep breaths! It can take up to 24 hours for changes to your profile to be visible, so don't stress.

DOES VIDEO QUALITY MATTER?

You don't have to be Stephen Spielberg, but yes, it does matter. Your profile and, by extension, your videos are how people are going to judge you. Show your party in the best light possible!

CAN I CHANGE MY VIDEO'S THUMBNAIL IMAGE?

Sorry, but you can't edit the thumbnail images representing your videos.

WHAT ARE “LIKES”?

“Likes” are basically props that you can give to users who have content you admire. You can click the “I Like!” button next to their party elements, pictures, videos…basically anything you can upload you can “like”. Go ahead and show your affection as much as you want…the more ‘likes’ you give, the better your reputation in the community becomes!

WHY SHOULD I GIVE “LIKES”?

To make your voice heard, of course! Also, you’d want someone to tell you if they liked your party idea, right? If that’s not reason enough for ya, you also get a certain number of ‘contribution points’ for every comment you leave, item you ‘like’, and forum post you respond to, which will affect the color and distinguishing characteristics of the new badges.

WHAT ARE THE NEW BADGES?

Notice that little star underneath your profile image with a number attached to it? That’s a measure of your contributions to the site. For every post, comment, ‘like’, item view, and response you make you get a certain number of contribution points. The more active you are on the site on a daily basis the more points you get and the cooler and more unique your badge becomes….which proves you’re a major player in the community!

WHAT ARE THE MODERATOR AND TECH ACCOUNTS?

We set these accounts up to help answer any questions you may have about mysupersweet16.com. The moderator account is for any general questions about the site or to report any users are are acting against the terms of use. The tech account administrator is there for questions related to something on the site not functioning properly, or any problems with video or photo uploads. But they are also of course there to answer any questions you have, regardless of content.

HOW DO I CONNECT WITH OTHERS ON THE SITE?

You can communicate with others on the site by using the blog, comments, and message functions, as well as the awesome new forums. Conversely, other users can reply to your blog entries, make comments on your site, etc. Please note that you must have a user account to post comments and send messages.

WHAT ARE THE FORUMS?

We created the forums to make it easier than ever to connect with other users on a wide variety of subjects….from party planning, to relationships and beyond. Check them out, respond to existing threads, and post your own! Don’t forget, the more replies and posts you make the more contribution points you receive!
